Thurday: Day Off!

On Thursday 21st May 2015 the Year 8’s went to re-treat. So the Year 7’s of Room 7 went to Room 7 for the rest of the week. We were all put into Room 6 because Mrs Tui thought that Room 6 was our suitable class. I was quite excited because I’ve wanted to see what Room 6 has been up to or the past year.

When we entered Room 6 the vibe changed and all eyes were on us. Albert, Anthony and I. Patrick, Joshua and Seuati left to the National Young Leader’s Day Conference. And Paul wasn’t at school that day. So it was only 3 people. We started off the day with a prayer and after the prayer, we started our learning.

If I was being frankly honest it was quite boring. I wasn’t very use to Room 6’s learning and I really missed the Year 8’s. But I tried to make the most of it. I sat with my Best Friend Rosrine. She would of been in Room 7, but decided to stay in Room 6. So it was good to be with her again.
When it came to the end of the day, I was exhausted and thought of what the Year 8’s were doing during re-treat. I felt happy because the day was finally over and I could rest at last.

Our Exciting Day!

On the 21st of May (today) the Year 8’s got to go to re-treat for 2 days and 1 night. ‘Exciting’ I thought, but it was also exciting for the rest of the Year 7’s because we got to go to Room 6 for 2 days as well. So these next 2 days will be quite exciting.

Today was our first day and it was really good. It felt really good to be around the people, who are the same year as me. Today was really fun for me, my highlight was going swimming because I really enjoyed swimming with my friends. I feel really happy and I hope that tomorrow will be even better!

Sky opens up at River Jordan, has left the crowd scared

Image result for jesus getting baptized
At River Jordan we have just witnessed a amazing discovery. On this slow afternoon John the Baptist was baptising Jesus. Then the sky opened and then a dove came down. It was then followed by a loud voice coming from the sky. After this shocking discovery it left the crowd in shock and horror. “I was in such a shock I froze on this very spot and then remained speechless.” Says a witness in the crowd.

First Swimming Lesson for 2015

When I got in the pool it was quite cold, but not too cold. “Dip your head under the water.” The instructor said, his name was Joseph. He then asked me to float, which was quite embarrassing because I couldn’t even float. Embarrassed I made my way out of the pool, into the cold air.

On Wednesday the 13th of April Room 7 got the chance to swim in the Clusters swimming pool. Each school in the cluster got the chance to use the swimming pool for at least a Term. And today was Room 7’s chance. Everybody got changed in the changing tents and got ready to swim. When everyone was ready, we all made our way into the Marquee, into 2 lines. I felt quite nervous and excited at the same time because I couldn’t swim and I was also excited because it wasn’t common for a swimming pool to be at school.

We all got tested. 4 people at a time to see how well we could swim. Group No.1 was the ‘beginners group.’ And Group No.2 was the ‘advanced group.’ And of course I was in the ‘beginners group.’ We got to just glide across the pool with the boards, on our stomach first. Then we did the same thing but without any board. Which was quite easy, but boring at the same time. It was boring because it was easy!! I like challenging and hard things.

There were quite a few of people that weren’t swimming for medical problems, including my sister Sonya. But I think that they enjoyed watching us having fun. Then when we got the chance to float, I once again was quite embarrassed! But when it was all over and everyone's shivering bodies made there way out of the pool, I was quite relieved and followed on.

After my first swimming lesson for 2015, I can not wait for tomorrow. When I walked into the marquee I felt quite excited and nervous. But at the end I was quite happy. And I hope that tomorrow’s lesson will be even better!

Mother's Day Writing

My mother, is the most special, unique and important human being to me. Why you ask, well firstly I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for her. Secondly she has always been there for me every since I was born and she has always loved me. Even before I came out she still loved me very much.

She is special because the definition of special is being better or greater than something or someone usual and plain. And that is exactly what my mother is. She is better and greater than anyone else I know. She will always make sure that we are happy, she will always make sure that we must do the right even when we don’t want to that’s what makes her special to me.

She’s the most unique person on this earth because there is no one on this entire planet that will match up to my mum. Everything about her is unique her face, her hair, her eyes, her personality, everything. She works hard at work and at home to make sure that we can have the best education and life that we can ever have and I think that, that is one of the most amazing things for a person to do.

And finally my mother is the most important and valued person in my life because she loves me and is going to love me forever.

Soul Friend: Best Learning

Today before morning tea Room 7 spent time with our Soul Friend Class. We had to just talk to them about some of their best learning. My Soul Friend likes to talking and writing about Anzac Day.
